Thunderbird

Thunderbird is an alternative to the famous Microsoft Outlook Office, which is a good, but paid application. On the other hand, Thunderbird, which supports our email and discussion group clients, is available for free. What is even more important is that though downloadable for free, this application still amazes with its functionality, which can be compared to that of its more famous rival.

Thunderbird is typical email software, which offers quite a few options. The latest version makes it possible to manage several mail boxes at once, and the control panel for each of them can be opened in separate tabs – just as we does it in the web browsers. What is more, the users can archive and organize incoming mail, or can manage their draft copies. During sending and receiving mail, users can set priorities for them, or use one of the many sounds and stationeries, prepared by Mozilla Foundation, to enrich their messages.

Thunderbird is additionally equipped with components that protect mail boxes against malware, spam and phishing. With that, users may be sure that no unwanted mails from unknown users accumulate in their accounts.

There are many functional plug-ins for Thunderbird available on the Internet. The only disadvantage of this application is that we cannot import the previous configuration from Outlook.
