Google Earth

Google Earth is another product released by Google. This time this is an application that allows the users to enjoy the satellite images combined into a three-dimensional model of the Earth. Most of the content that contribute to the overall operation and visual qualities of Google Earth is provided, among others, by National Geographic, United Nations Environmental Program, Jane Goodall Institute, Discovery Networks, and U.S. National Park Service.

A very characteristic feature here is the possibility to watch not only whole towns, but also individual buildings, even from different angles, which surely can be really appealing.
Google Earth offers photographs taken with the use of the most modern technology and available in very high resolution. However, one can see shortcomings in this matter, because in some cases the application lacks images in high resolution, so for example when it comes to the East Europe, Google Earth cannot present a perfect set of images.
Still, every year Google Earth offers a better and more developed interface. Today, every user can enjoy historical maps presented over the three-dimensional model, can take a trip around the world or even take a glimpse into the depths of the oceans.
This application works very fast and does not use too much of the system resources. It can be recommended for everyone who dreams about virtual trips, especially since it is available for free – except for the commercial applications.
